“Good education isn’t defined by concepts – but by whether it holds up in real life.”
We build and support learning environments that make that possible.
Schools, programs, and structures that prepare young people for their real lives –
with a focus on what actually works in practice.
.
WHO WE ARE
We are IBOP – Institute for Education, Organizational Development and Permagogy.
Our work is grounded in real practice:
in schools, projects, and ongoing development processes.
Good education does not come from ideas alone.
It happens where people, dynamics, and curriculum meet in everyday life.
That is where we work.
We develop structures and approaches that hold up in reality —
while keeping the bigger picture in view: people, system, and culture.
WHAT WE DO
We currently take responsibility for our first school project,
laying the foundation for future locations.
We design school concepts, initiate educational programs,
and work on one central question:
How does learning actually work under real conditions?
From this, new approaches emerge —tested, practical, and ready to be applied.
Our role is to create the conditions that make education work.
Our work is built on three key levers:
Structure & Sponsorship
We operate within the legal framework — and actively shape it in dialogue with authorities.
We don’t work hierarchically.
We work with clear responsibilities.
Structured in a way that allows real collaboration and continuous development.
Network & co-creation
We connect education, business, and real-world environments.
We don’t build parallel systems. We build shared solutions.
Co-creation means working with the people who are actually part of the system —
not designing from the outside.
Implementation & Operation
We implement what is needed — and take responsibility for what grows from it.
We stay with it until it works.
And we keep developing it.
That is how insight becomes everyday practice.

HOW WE WORK
We don’t fight the system.
We understand it — and make it usable.
We clarify what is required
and translate legal frameworks into structures that actually work.
This allows us to fully integrate the existing education system
while opening space for real innovation.
What we create is not theory.
It is practice that is viable, approvable, and effective.
OUR APPROACH- PERMAGOGY
People learn differently.
What matters is whether education can work with that reality.
Permagogy starts exactly here.
We work with what is already present:
curiosity, movement, and the natural drive to grow.
The curriculum remains.
But learning is no longer separated into isolated subjects —
it is understood in context.
This is not a contradiction between system and practice.
It is a way to bring them back together.
Permagogy is not an add-on.
It is a way of making the system work again.
Where learning becomes a struggle, we intervene.
Not to manage it better — but to resolve it.
So that growth becomes possible again.
This approach is continuously developed
in collaboration with the University of Education Freiburg.

A NETWORK IN PRACTICE
IBOP connects people from education, business, and society
who take responsibility where learning actually happens.
This is not a loose network.
It is a shared working space.
In the Gewerbepark Breisgau, this becomes real:
School meets working life — not side by side,
but in direct exchange with those who build, decide, and create.
Educators, parents, and companies work together
and bring in their perspectives.
What holds this network together is a shared mindset:
Not working in parallel — but building solutions together.
We grow together — since 2020.

OUR CORE MESSAGE
We do not separate what belongs together. We bring it back into connection.

OUR MISSION
UNESCO defines education as enabling people
to act sustainably, responsibly, and peacefully.
The Ministry of Education (Germany/BW) defines education
as supporting personal development, participation,
and responsible action in society.
IBOP:
These frameworks describe what education should achieve.
Our mission is to make it actually possible — under real conditions.
MAKING IT REAL
Our first learning environment is being built
in the Gewerbepark Breisgau — in the middle of over 200 companies.
Here, real working life meets nature.
Learning is not simulated. It is experienced, tested, and lived.
With the Eine- Welt- SchuleMarkgräflerland,
we are building our first community school.
Approval is in process.
Partnerships are growing.
Funding has started.
Now it is about letting what already exists continue to grow.

FUNDING & PARTICIPATION
Enabling the launch together
The development of the Eine-Welt-Schule Markgräflerland has been underway since 2020.
Over €80,000 has already been invested in the founding process:
in rent, utilities, fire protection & safety, events, equipment, furniture, and learning materials, through to digital infrastructure, public relations, and various services.
The Software AG Foundation will support the next development steps as soon as approval is granted.
How the school sustains itself
With the approval of the school, the financial foundations will expand. In the first three years after opening, the school will be self-sustaining through:
- Tuition fees from the start of school
- An educational loan from GLS Bank (upon approval)
- Guarantees to secure this loan
- Donations during the founding process and upon approval
- Foundation funds upon approval
What is currently needed
For the start in September 2026, €40,000 is currently still missing.
Our goal:
€10,000 per month (April–July)
With this, we will finance the final steps until the opening.
- 10,000 reached, 40,000 more to the goal
Educational Loan & Guarantees
Upon approval, an educational loan from GLS Bank will take effect, bridging the initial phase until state refinancing (3 years).
To secure this loan, guarantees are additionally integrated. It is possible to take on guarantees in individual amounts (e.g., up to €3,000), so that several supporters can participate.
INVITATION
We are looking for people and organizations who do not just think about education – but actively help shape it.
Together, something is created that no one can build alone: sustainable structures and vibrant learning environments.
If you want to make this possible with us:

The founders

Maja Modley
Maja is an educational scientist and systemic coach. She sees what works – and what no longer holds up. She recognizes patterns, names connections clearly, and sets in motion what is stuck. She works with analytical precision and endures what others avoid. Even uncomfortable truths. For her, change does not arise through methods, but through clarity.
Mother of three children.

Melanie Friedrich
Melanie Friedrich combines psychological understanding with a clear eye for potential and development. As a psychologist, educator, and organizational developer, she recognizes dynamics early, develops visions, and shapes ideas so that they can hold up in everyday life. For her, structure is not a rigid principle, but a tool for sustainable development.

Partners and Supporters
The amount of donations and commitments to date speaks for itself: It is not just a belief in what we do – many people recognize the genuine necessity behind it.
We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who has invested time, trust, and resources so far. Without you, this path would not be possible.
